Return from COVID-19

Return from COVID-19

Hello All, as you are aware we closed our doors on Friday 20th March, due to the current pandemic. During our ten week closure we created a YouTube Channel, Petham Village Nursery, so our children could join us in some songs and on some adventures. We hope you all enjoyed them! It was slightly embarrassing but fun to make them. Our doors are now re-open for those that would like to come and have some fun with us and their friends. We are following the government guidance for early years settings, keeping us all as safe as possible. Our first couple of days have been great fun and it has been so nice to see some familiar happy faces back with us, all looking very grown up from when we saw them last.

We are operating a closed group of those families that initially chose to return for three weeks. This enables us to keep a secure group of both children and staff together for the safety of all.  All being well after this initial period we will introduce others then wishing to return. We will rotate the staff, numbers depending, and keep the current group of children. If you

September, a new term in childcare, Petham, Canterbury

The new academic year is nearly upon us! Providing a new early years education setting to our local village communities around Canterbury has just been the best feeling ever. Our dream of starting something special to us has been realised, our vision is opening up before our very eyes.

We are expanding our age range from September 2019 and welcoming ‘The Baby Patch’ 12-23 months. Continuing on our natural and open-ended theme, our babies will enhance our small and calm environment, building on a family atmosphere. We are looking forward to having some photos taken this month and will share them with you all very soon.

We would like to thank all of our families for trusting in us to provide their family with a positive start to the early years. Although our numbers increase it is our vision to remain a small, fully inclusive and natural setting.

We would also like to thank Rowan Retreat for providing a fantastic raffle prize on our behalf to our local primary school summer fair. This helped to enable us to buy a new pop-up gazebo to shelter our children from the hot summer sun.
